Colorful Bounce & Play 6th Birthday Party
Yesterday we had my youngest daughter’s 6th birthday party at Pump It Up! The kids {and some of the adults, including my husband} had a blast, its was the “Glow” party so the lights were out with just black lights available! I knew going in that I was on a limited time period and the decor had to be simple but also pretty. The party room was cool because it already had brightly colored walls and nice table cloths. I just had to add my twist and little more color. I went with a bright rainbow of colors as the theme because most inflatables are full of color, so it made sense. My favorite blog Hostess with the Mostess saved me a lot of time by sharing some free paper printables from her daughter Macy’s Color Parade birthday party, Thanks Jenn! Her cake of course was made by my new favorite bakery, Maxie B’s. Below are some pictures and a short description of some of the items I did.

Leila's Invitations were made and printed by me {design inspired by an Etsy designer whose name I forgot, oops!} The clipart was also purchased on Etsy from TheCraftyClip, Thanks Monique!

Her cupcakes sat on a Martha Stewart cupcake stand that took maybe 3 mins to put together. I also used some Martha Stewart cupcake liners. The personalized cupcake flags were made by me.

There were both mini and regular sized cupcakes in three different yummy flavors. Dreamsicle, 7-Up {my personal favorite} & Pink Lemonade

Table with colorful paper products and custom juice and bubble labels designed by Jenn from Hostess with the Mostess.

I found these bubbles at Party City and removed the original label and added the ones Jenn designed.

Leila is 6! Outfit was purchased from The Gap with the exception of those rockin' leggings which I found on none other than Etsy! Thanks anotherleaf!

Black, White, Hot Pink & Orange Fashionista 9th Birthday Party!
This past weekend was my daughters 9th birthday and it was a blast! She is really into fashion and designing so she wanted a fashion theme, complete with a real fashion show and nail salon. Her colors were black, white, hot pink and orange. She loves polka dots so we had to incorporate those as well. Many of the polka dot products that you see at the party was purchased from Polka Dot Market, its such a cute little web store with great service.
I made the personalized paper goods, including the cupcake toppers, food cards and personalized water bottle labels. The tissue paper dahlias are courtesy of Martha Stewart’s instructions for creating the perfect tissue paper flowers, they turned out great! The decor also included some wire dress forms that I purchased from Hobby Lobby.
As favors for her party I did a full dessert bar which included homemade oreo lollipops, marshmallow lollipops, gumballs, old fashioned orange sticks and cherry rock candy suckers. Her beautiful pink lemonade cake and cupcakes were courtesy of Maxie B’s Bakery. They did such a great job and their work is amazing and delicious!
I had such a wonderful experience at the Roanoke Valley Bridal Showcase on Sunday February 6th. It was my very first bridal show and I was super nervous but also very excited. The doors opened at 11am and brides immediately started to roll right in! It was amazing the amount of people came through. I ran out of business cards and my lovely hubby (who was my helping me all day, he was fantastic!) ran out and got more printed for me. I met a lot of brides and will hopefully get many leads from the show.
I went with a rustic country theme for my booth and I thought it turned out to be so beautiful, I has so many comments on my burlap ruffle runners and my burlap lovebird banner on the front of my table. I gave out personalized wildflower seed packets as favors and people loved those as well.

I love wedding photography so much! I follow the blogs of a handful of super talented photographers, one of them being the uber talented Jodi Miller Photography. Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she got married last year and I just have to share her super unique and very cute wedding CD invitations. I’ve never seen anything like it and I just can’t stop looking at them. I love the vintage look of the cameo buttonsand the coutry chic feel of the burlap.
Be sure to watch the video that she and her hubby Kurt sent to their lucky guests, love it! Be sure to look for full deets and wedding pictures from their wedding in the upcoming V4 Edition if Southern Weddings Magazine!

{Inspiration Board} Silver Cloud, Honeysuckle Pink & Silver Peony
Pantone recently announced Honeysuckle Pink as their color of the year for 2011. I love this color, its so fresh and can be paired with a number of colors for a spring and even summer wedding. I chose to pair it with two of their other hot colors for 2011: Silver Cloud and Silver Peony. I love this palette and the colors look so great together. Enjoy!
